Spring-Ford warms up for Friday's game against Garnet Valley. (Photo by Darryl Grumling)

The second season begins tonight.

Top-seeded Pottsgrove hosts Strath Haven in the first round of the Class AAA playoffs. The Falcons haven't lost a game all year, but if they lose one now, their season will be over.

Don Seeley will be at Pottsgrove for the game, while Austin Hertzog will be on the sideline providing video and Twitter updates. Follow him on Twitter @AustinHertzog.

In Class AAAA, 7th-seeded Spring-Ford hosts No. 10 Garnet Valley. Darryl Grumling will be in Royersford with coverage, updates and video. Follow him on Twitter @MercSmokinD.

Back in Class AAA, No. 6 Phoenixville hits the road to meet No. 3 Interboro. Barry Sankey will be covering the game for The Mercury, while Dennis Deitch of the Delaware County Daily Times will provide Twitter updates @DennisDeitch.

There are also four non-playoff games tonight: Great Valley at Pottstown, Perkiomen Valley at Saucon Valley, Souderton at Boyertown and Upper Merion at Owen J. Roberts.

It's safe to assume (hopefully?) that you're already following our main account on Twitter @PottsMercSports. We'll have score updates all night on Twitter, as well as our live scoreboard on this site, available by clicking here. Tweet at us and let us know what the scene is like at your game!

Opening Kickoff for Nov. 2

Hurricane Sandy left its mark on the region, and also affected this weekend's high school football schedule.

There are just three games on the schedule tonight -- in addition to one that is already completed -- including the big Spring-Ford/Perkiomen Valley showdown in Graterford.

Don Seeley and Darryl Grumling will be on site for a game that will likely send the winner to the playoffs and end any playoff hopes for the loser.

Elsewhere, Pottsgrove travels to Phoenixville seeking a perfect regular season and an outright PAC-10 title. Finally, Daniel Boone hosts Exeter.

Earlier today, Perkiomen School lost at St. Andrew's (Del.), 35-14.
