POTTSTOWN — Give the other team the first four or five points of
every quarter and it’s going to start to add up. That’s what happened to
The Hill School’s boys basketball team in Sunday’s game for fifth place
in the 43rd Dave Mercer Invitational Tournament as the Blues had
trouble getting started at the beginning of each period and had to
almost constantly fight from behind.
Still, The Hill had a chance
to pull the game out at the end, but some quick missed shots and a
couple of costly turnovers led to fast break baskets at the other end of
the court in a 56-51 loss to Blue Ridge School of St. George’s, Va., at
Gillison Court.
