POTTSTOWN — The Hill School boys had an opportunity to play with a
large halftime lead for the first time this season in Saturday
afternoon’s consolation round of the 43rd Dave Mercer Invitational
Basketball Tournament. Unfortunately, for quite a while, the host Blues
didn’t do any of the things a team needs to do in order to protect the
lead.
But The Hill came up with some key baskets after its 17
point lead had shrunk to four, including a couple of big field goals by
Mike Leasure with less than four minutes remaining, and the Blues
recovered for a 57-49 win over Gilman School at Gillison Court.
