GIRLS BASKETBALL: Balanced Phoenixville tops Pottsgrove

PHOENIXVILLE — Using balanced scoring throughout the night, Phoenixville constructed a 21-point third-quarter lead and then defeated Pottsgrove 51-44 in Pioneer Athletic Conference girls basketball action Thursday night.
Aubree Flagg and Jada Boyce each scored 10 points for the Phantoms (2-2, 4-6) while Nomi Washington finished with nine points – seven in the second quarter – with one 3-pointer.
Phoenixville broke a 12-12 tie at the end of the first period to take a 32-21 lead into the locker room at halftime and then held up for a 43-33 lead after three quarters.
