GIRLS BASKETBALL: Red-hot Mueller powers Spring-Ford past Pope John Paul II

ROYERSFORD — Shelby Mueller headed into this season somewhat of an unknown commodity for the Spring-Ford girls basketball team.
After the past couple of weeks, however, you could say the secret is out about the junior forward.
Mueller continued her torrid stretch Thursday night, matching her career-high with 20 points and also pulling down a game-high 10 rebounds as the Rams overwhelmed Pope John Paul II, 57-23, in a matchup of Pioneer Athletic Conference division leaders.
Senior guard Brittany Moore scored eight points and senior forward Sarah Payonk grabbed 10 rebounds for defending PAC-10 and District 1-AAAA champion Spring-Ford (9-0, 13-2 overall), which won its 26th straight league game.
