BUCKTOWN — In a seesaw game, the Upper Merion Vikings ultimately outlasted the Owen J. Roberts Wildcats, 28-21, in a game that came very close to being tied in a last-minute drive Friday night.
“We’re just making the same mistakes we made in the beginning of the season,” Owen J. Roberts head coach Tom Barr said.
After two unanswered rushing touchdowns by Upper Merion (2-9) made the score 28-21 with 1:24 left in the game, Jarrad Pinelli was tasked with bringing his team downfield from their own 26-yard line.
Pinelli did his absolute best, completing three passes for 26 yards and running twice for 16 yards to get the Wildcats to the Viking’ 24 with third-and-two to go.
