POTTSTOWN — Two words can sum up Pottstown’s opening to the 2012 high school football season — rhythm and tackling.
Unfortunately for the Trojans, they were able to do neither with any sort of consistency.
Visiting Schuylkill Valley (1-0) used took advantage of Pottstown’s inability to tackle with consistency, and Panther running backs Eryk Cerankowski and Ryan Matthews rattled off 163 yards on 17 carries and three touchdowns and 101 yards on nine carries and a score, respectively, as Schuylkill Valley rolled to a 34-7 victory in non-conference action.
