WEEKLY RANKINGS

Seel's Super Six
1. Pottsgrove
2. Spring-Ford
3. Perkiomen Valley
4. Methacton
5. Boyertown
6. The Hill School

For now, No. 1 and No. 2 are easy (not only did both win last Friday night, they were the ONLY two to win among area schools). ... Pottsgrove's defense may just be a step ahead of its offense for the time being. Spring-Ford, despite some new faces in key spots of the lineup, showed considerable poise in coming back with 18 straight points to beat a good (at least according to the District 11 folks) Whitehall team.

No. 3 through No. 6 is pure guesswork. Perkiomen Valley and Methacton will surely dictate who's who among them when they meet Saturday afternoon down in Fairview Village. ... Boyertown got hurt by big plays against C.B. East, and may be a wee bit better than that final score indicated. ... I like The Hill School lineup, but the Rams won't be playing for another week, so they could move up or down depending on the debut with Germantown Academy on the 15th.
